Bra Boy Richie Vas & Alfy Cater - SLAB SCORE!
JP's lead slab hunter and OG Bra Boy member, Richie "Vas" Vaculik is out doing it again with JP's Alfy Cater and company. Check out the new article on Surfline: Big Blue Yonder. The writer says it best in the opening line - "THESE DUDES ARE NUTS." That's right! The gamble paid off though. They went on a big trip in W.A. hoping to score and well, they SCORED.
It may be tough to believe but Richie, Alfy and all these guys are really super down to earth and very mellow - good guys to hang out with. Although, the differences become apparent as the surf starts to gain in size and get more dangerous.... these guys just start to light up and begin to get excited, whereas the common man tends to put away his board and reach for his camera and a coffee. Then, as the surf goes beyond just simply "big" but mutates into death pit status, Richie and the boys get even MORE psyched up. It's like a drug, crazy.
After surfing though, they come back down off their high and mellow out and chill again as normal humans.... but you realize that there's a little something different within them that you don't have..... meaning, you are a small, feeble young boy and they are MEN with lots and lots of chest hair.
