Kickin' At The Switchfoot Bro-Am
We had a lot of fun this weekend at the Switchfoot Bro-Am..... Gotta be honest, it was a BUSY weekend for JP as far as events go. The NSSA Nationals were going on at Lowers where we had some groms pushing to make it happen, the Summer Surf Series was on n' poppin' in Pacific Beach where Charley Stevens was doing a winch demo and our rep Dave Woods was killing the mic and runnin' the show. We had a Wake tour stop going on across the country where 15 yr old Daniel Powers took the podium (nice!).... Then there was the Switchfoot Bro-Am in Encinitas, CA.
The Bro-Am was going OFF. Thousands upon thousands of people were flocking from all over the place, it was literally out of hand. This was the 5th year for this event, and each year I think it can't get much bigger but then each year it just keeeeeps getting BIGGER. It's insane.
The coolest part about the event is the vibe. Switchfoot is all about positivity, inside, outside, upside down, all around - POSITIVE. So, the event was purely positive, that's the coolest, most enjoyable part. Also, the cause - all revenue and attention goes to San Diego's Stand Up For Kids charity. Who doesn't want to help out a kid who's lost his parents and needs help? That's right NOBODY turns down a child in need! So, it's all good and all positive.
