The Perch is the most versatile board in the JetPilot quiver.  Designed with a fuller, longboard style nose and body.  Step back to the tail for more speed, flow, and performance, or simply enjoy the perfect trim of “cheater-5” noserides.  Decades of hand shaping and riding traditional longboard surfboards informed the design of the Perch.  A full nose outline and light bottom nose concave combine for epic nose rides.  The bottom features a spiral vee for easy rail-to-rail flow.  The forward rails are soft and forgiving, while the squash tail and edgy rear rails blend for a natural, seamless flow in and out of turns.  The versatile 5-fin option allows you to ride the Perch as a traditional single fin, a twin, thruster, or quad.  The Perch is the epitome of fun for all levels and styles.  Get out there and get perched!

Anyone can ride this board, it’s a cruiser but when you set it up as a twin fin it offers up some really fun carving.  Walk the nose, carve, or just do like Shane…..lie down and enjoy the ride.

Dimensions:  Length 5'2" (157 cm), Width 21.4" (54 cm), Thickness 2.12" (5 cm), Volume 28 Liters.

Squash tail

The squash tail has a square shape that offers quick release while the round corners provide hold

Soft rail

The sides have a soft or full profile that caters to riders of all abilities.  This rail design provides stability and smooth transitions between carves.  The softer rails holds onto the wave better, making it easier to stay in the pocket (sweet spot).

Fin Setup

The five fin setup offers options for every rider on the boat.  Set it up as a single fin, twin fin, thruster or quad.  The single fin setup offers a loose feel with a good amount of hold and stability but limits the ability to generate speed.  Twin fin will be loose and playful with a bit more stabilty than the single fin.  The  thruster (3 fin) setup will generate good speed with more stability than the twin fin.  A quad (4 fin) setup is all about speed allowing you to pump and generate speed using the fins.  We do not recommend using all five fins at the same time as it will produce too much drag.

Custom Jetpilot fiberglass "Perch" center fin with 4 standard quad fins

The single fin is a 7.5" fiberglass fin with custom Perch graphics.  Also included are 4 standard composite side fins to set up as a quad, thruster, or twin fin.

2 piece smooth channel EVA tailpaid

The EVA tail pad has a smooth channel grip design with a 2.5cm vert wedge tail kick which keeps the foot from slipping off the back and provides extra grip and stability.

4 piece full deck EVA traction pad

The full deck traction pad has a sweet and smooth channel design that allows for effortless nose riding foot transitions.

Slight single concave throughout, with a touch of vee at tail for smooth release

Provides lift in front for crucial recoveries, flows to lift with smooth rail-to-rail transitions with controlled hold through turns.

Smooth continuous rocker curve with subtle entry and gentle release

Smooth flow transitioning in and out of maneuvers. Predicable hold through the tail during turns.
